RMGPA CPPB-CPPO Scholarship

Only one RMGPA sponsored scholarship shall be awarded to a regular member in a calendar year.  No more than four scholarships shall be awarded to members of the same agency in a calendar year.  Subsequent requests from members within the same agency and in the same calendar year will not be considered.  Agencies are responsible for determining which of their staff would be best served by scholarship assistance.

Scholarships are awarded to those agencies that would not otherwise be able to financially support (re)certification and may be granted for up to 100% of the exam or application fee. Only the Education/Professional Development Committee can approve fees for late registration or cancellation.  Any additional expenses relating to (re)certification shall be funded by the agency or personal funds, if applicable.

Participation in funding by the employer recommended.

Eligibility shall be limited to regular members of RMGPA as of the date of the application.  Individual, not Agency membership, must be current. The applicant will be evaluated on their demonstration of dedication to the purchasing profession, professional development needs, and a commitment to RMGPA. The Application must contain a description of the financial constraints requiring the scholarship.

POST AWARD REQUIREMENTS:

Scholarship recipient will be required to submit:
  • Proof of payment
  • Copy of letter/certificate of CPPB/CPPO completion or
  • Copy of letter/certificate of recertification
The scholarship recipient is required to write an article for the RMGPA Newsletter and/or RMGPA website. The article should detail the benefits of having the certification.  Submissions will be coordinated with the Newsletter and/or Communication Chair within 15 days of completing the exam or application.

Recipient will not be eligible for RMGPA scholarships for two years from the date of the event if they do not comply with these requirements. If the exam or recertification is not successfully completed, the recipient/agency will be required to reimburse RMGPA for 100% of the awarded funds.


RMGPA General Scholarship

Submit your completed Scholarship Application a minimum of 70 days prior to the course or conference. Special circumstances shall be approved by the Education/Professional Development Committee.

Scholarships are awarded to those agencies that would not otherwise be able to financially support educational opportunities and may be granted for up to 100% of the registration fee for an RMGPA or NIGP Professional Development course or RMGPA conference. Scholarships do not include lodging or travel expenses. Only the Education/Professional Development Committee can approve fees for late registration or cancellation.  Any additional expenses relating to the course or conference shall be funded by the agency or personal funds, if applicable.

RMGPA NIGP Forum Scholarship

Only one RMGPA sponsored scholarship shall be awarded to a regular member in a calendar year.  No more than four scholarships shall be awarded to members of the same agency in a calendar year.  Subsequent requests from members within the same agency and in the same calendar year will not be considered.  Agencies are responsible for determining which of their staff would be best served by scholarship assistance.

Scholarships are awarded to those agencies that would not otherwise be able to financially support attending Forum and may be granted for up to 100% of the registration fee for the NIGP Annual Forum and will include reasonable lodging and travel expenses. Only the Education/Professional Development Committee can approve fees for late registration or cancellation.  Any additional expenses relating to Forum shall be funded by the agency or personal funds, if applicable.

Participation in funding by the employer recommended.

RMGPA New Member Scholarship

RMGPA will apply a $200 scholarship towards any NIGP course or RMGPA conference for applicants who meet the following requirements:

Applicant shall be a new member of RMGPA, with their membership application completed within 36 months of this request for a discount. Individual, not Agency, membership must be current.

Discount shall be used to offset the cost of an RMGPA-sponsored, NIGP professional development course or RMGPA conference.

Applications must be submitted a minimum of 70 days prior to the course or conference.

Only one New Member Professional Discount shall be granted for each member.  

If the course or conference is not successfully completed, the recipient/agency will be required to reimburse RMGPA for 100% of the awarded funds.


RMGPA Rewards

To reward RMGPA members who actively participate in the Chapter and the activities organized, hosted or sponsored by RMGPA.

To further the goals of the Chapter by providing additional educational and professional development opportunities and NIGP certification assistance.

Funds for the program will be obtained from a portion of the revenue collected from the previous annual Reverse Vendor Trade Show.

The amount of each reward shall be $200.00. The number of Rewards shall be determined by the RMGPA Board each January and is contingent upon overall organizational needs and proceeds available.
